A Turning Point With a New Voice
After 90 days on the road, Anthony Carroll came to the mic with a clear list of priorities. His prepared remarks leaned heavily on the traction from AVL approvals—he noted nine of the top ten EPCs have approved the company—and the need to convert that access into bookings. He also announced early wins in India and Australia, and signaled robotics as a future productivity driver. The new CEO's tone was confident: “We have continued good progress in the areas where we have momentum...” — Anthony Carroll, CEO · 2026-08-05 He also emphasized international momentum, saying “I'm also pleased to announce that we recently entered the India market...” — Anthony Carroll, CEO · 2026-08-05 And on robotics, he declared “we believe robotics will be a major productivity driver for our customers...” — Anthony Carroll, CEO · 2026-08-05 These are more than buzzwords. The company's own keyword momentum for the quarter shows 'India' and 'Robotics' as top gainers, reflecting a genuine strategic shift rather than incremental tweaks. Coming off a brutal 98% drawdown from 2021 peaks, the stock is down another 40% in the last 90 days, yet this call was about rebuilding the floor.Financial Tightrope
The growth narrative is real but fragile. Revenue came in at $26.2M, up 51.5% sequentially and 30.8% year-over-year, at the high end of guidance. But the bottom line is still negative, and the balance sheet is strained. Cash stood at just $11.2M, and the company breached a minimum covenant, forcing a waiver from lenders and reclassifying debt as current. CFO Cathy Behnen explained:To shore up liquidity, the company established a $20M equity line of credit (ELOC), though it has not yet been drawn. This is a familiar refrain: in the prior quarter, management acknowledged a technical covenant issue, and now it's a hard breach. The pattern is concerning. The sequential revenue jump is real: Total Revenue has swung from a $68M peak down to $17M and now back up, but the path to profitability is still steep. Gross margin remains deeply negative, and liabilities have ballooned to over 100% of assets. Our lenders have provided waivers for these second quarter covenants, so the debt is not callable.
